Ausangate

AUSANGATE / 6 days and 5 nights

Ausangate is one of the spiritual paths, magical-religious character by the presence of the Cordillera Vilcanota where the highest Cusco Nevado Ausangate (6384 m), the protective god in the Peruvian Andes is imposed. During the journey of the presence of llamas, alpacas, vicuna, complemented by the presence of human groups.

DAY 1. CUSCO – T`INKI
We will have the services of a bus with which we will pick up from your hotel at 7:00 am. Then drive to the village of T`inki passing through the towns of Urcos, Katqa, Ocongate, to finally reach T`inki at approximately 4 pm.

DAY 2. T`INKI – UPIS.
After breakfast we start walking through the community Q`oñamuro, persons engaged in selling their own crafts. From here we can see the north side of Nevado Ausangate where there is the presence of llamas and alpacas, after 6 hours of walking we reached the camp Upis (4400m.snm) where there are hot springs.

DAY 3 Upis – AUSANGATE QOCHA.
We ascend Valley Inca Pampa then reach step Arapa (4670 m), cycling through the gaps Pukaqocha Yanaqocha and, finally camp on Ausangate Qocha (4650 m).

DAY 4. AUSANGATE QOCHA – TIQLLAQOCHA.
Ascend Palomani Pass (5050 m) from where we can admire the beautiful snowy Mariposa, descending Chillkaphinaya, Hampachico then reach Tiqllaqocha (4800 m).

DAY 5. TIQLLAQOCHA – Paqchanta.
Hampa climb the step (5100 m), and then descend and observe and appreciate gaps bright colors and subsequently reach Paqchanta and enjoy hot springs (4200m).

DAY 6. Paqchanta – T`INKI – CUSCO.
In Paqchanta we recommend buy local textiles which are very cheap compared to Cusco. After 2 hours walk we once again T`inki, where we will take our bus back to Cusco.
