CIRCUITO MOLLEPATA-ESPIRITU PAMPA – MACHUPICCHU 11 DAYS Y 10 NIGTHS
DAY 1.- CUSCO – SALQANTAY PAMPA:
We leave the city of Cusco at 4:00 am. In a tourist bus, along our route we will appreciate attractive and picturesque landscapes, as well as peasant communities. After hours we will arrive at “SorayPampa” where we will have an energetic breakfast before starting our walk. We ascend by a forest of charamoscas until arriving at Soraypampa where we will enjoy our lunch, after a good digestion we will continue with our ascent to Salqantay Pampa where we will spend our first night.
DAY 2.- SALQANTAY PAMPA – RAYAN PATA.
After a delicious breakfast we will ascend to the open of the Salqantay (4506m.s.n.m), from where we can appreciate in all its splendor the snowy peaks of the area, rivers of glacial origin, condors, and the famous (expensive faces).
After appreciating this landscape we will descend to the place of lunch, and make the last descent of this day to the camp of Rayan Pata.
DAY 3.- RAYAN PATA – TOTORA.
After enjoying the breakfast we will be cruising downstream where we will find a peasant road of the place which will lead us to “Mandor Punku” where we will take a break for lunch. Continuing then with an ascent to Totora (3050 m.s.n.m) where we will spend the night.
DAY 4.- TOTORA – QUELQAMACHAY.
This day we will have an early wake up to see the sunrise and take good photos to the majestic snowy peak of Pumacillo. After a delicious breakfast we will ascend the valley of Totora, passing through micro climatic zones to appreciate a vegetation that is characterized by the presence of lichens, orchids, at sunset we will reach the pampas of Quelqamachay where we will spend the night.
DAY 5.- QUELQAMACHAY – HUANCA CALLE.
After breakfast we will ascend to the open of ChoquetaCarpo. Which presents a spectacular panorama, descending a valley full of life, during the course of the descent we can see the presence of viscachas, foxes,
DAY 6.- HUANCA CALLE – COLLPA KASA.
We will leave the town of Huanca Street to the last refuge of the resistance inka “Vilcabamba” where we will have a tour accompanied by our guide. We will make an ascent to SucsoCocha, where we will have our lunch appreciating a cloud forest and with the presence of vegetation characterized by ferns, heliconia and the variety of birds of the area, at dusk of the day we will reach CollpaKasa where we will spend the night .
DAY 7.- COLLPA KASA – CEDRO CHACA.
After a fortifying breakfast we will descend through a semitropical forest, where we will have the opportunity to appreciate the famous Gallito de las Rocas (Rupicola Peruviana), national bird whose main characteristic is the very singular mating scene. Dinner and overnight at Cedro Chaca.
DAY 8.- CEDRO CHACA – URPI PATA.
At dawn after breakfast we will start with a small ascent and descent to the heart of the forest of clouds by the banks of the river.
In this tour we will find the archaeological remains …. where we will have a small expedition and then go to the camp of UrpiPata.
DAY 9.- URPI PATA – ESPIRITU PAMPA.
This day we will have an early wake up to enter the continuous forest where we can appreciate a variety of birds of the area. Then we will return to the camp and after enjoying breakfast we will head towards the archaeological zone of Espirito Pampa.
After lunch we will have a guided tour and camping in the vicinity of the area. At night we can appreciate some mammals.
DAY 10.- ESPIRITU PAMPA –CHIWANQUIRI – QUITENI – OLLANTAYTAMBO.
After breakfast we will take our 5-hour hike to the village of “chiwanquiri” where our bus will wait for us. After lunch we will board the bus to Ollantaytambo arriving at approximately 9:00 pm we will spend the night in a hotel.
DAY 11.- OLLANTAYTAMBO – MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO.
Today we get up early for the last time with the purpose of boarding our train to Machupicchu. At 5:30 a.m. will be the pick up from hotel to train station. Our trip will take approximately three and a half hours, once you arrive in the village of Aguas Calientes we will have a bus that will take us to the Inca City of Machupikchu, where we will enjoy a guided tour of 2 hours, we will have a free time to take Photographs and lunch in the town of Aguas Calientes. Later we will take our return train.
