CIRCUITO SALKANTAY- CAMINO INCA – MACHUPICCHU 7 DÍAS Y 6 NOCHES
DAY 1. CUSCO – SAYLLAPATA.
We leave Cusco at 7:00 am passing the Pampa de Anta, Limatambo that present an agricultural valley with plantations of corn, potatoes, vegetables and fruit trees.
Around 9:00 am we will be in TARAWASI (2380m.s.n.m) to visit this archaeological complex, then continue to MOLLEPATA (2850m.s.n.m) where we will arrive approximately at 10.30am, in this place we will meet our muleteers. Here we start with our walk to SAYLLAPATA (3470m.s.n.m). First camp (Bus 3 hours – walk 4 hours).
DAY 2. SAYLLAPATA – ICHUPAMPA.
From our camp we can see the Nevado Umantay and part of the Valley Mollepata. During the tour we pass the hamlets of Onqopata, Cheqchekancha, Ch`allakancha, Soraypampa and Salkantay Pampa, and then ascend to the ICHUPAMAPA camp (4300m.s.n.m).
DAY 3. ICHUPAMPA – PAMPAQAHUANA.
We ascend slowly around 2 hours passing by the highest point that INKACHIRIASQA (4,800 m.s.n.m), with a beautiful view of glacial lagoons of different colors. Then we descend a zigzag road until arriving at the community of PAMPAQAWANA (4000m.s.n.m) where we will have the opportunity to appreciate the Inka Channel that is in the plain.
DAY 4. PAMPAQAWANA – WAYLLABAMBA.
We continue descending where we already find human settlements, farmland, animal presence, letting grasslands of wild straw and ichu, in turn we will see shrubs, bamboo, trees, orchids and a variety of birds. We will also visit the archaeological remains Of PAUKARKANCHA, that comes to be a Tambo; That is, a place of neglect and storage. Approximately at 3:00 pm we will be at Wayllabamba camp (3000 m.s.n.m).
DAY 5. WAYLLABAMBA – PAKAYMAYU
We will have a wake-up tea at 6 am, then we will list our things. Breakfast will be at 7 am. Later we will start walking from 3,000 m.s.n.m. Until the highest part of the passage WARMIWAÑUSQA “dead woman” (4,200m.s.n.m). During the tour we will have the possibility to see some orchids and birds, since we will enter a cloud forest and then go out to the plains with the presence of cold and haze. Around noon we will be in the Abra and we will rest for a moment to enjoy the panoramic view of the place. We will descend in 5 min. To the place of the lunch, soon to continue with direction to our second camp of PAKAYMAYU.
DAY 6.- PAKAYMAYU – WIÑAYWAYNA.
After two days of physical effort, today is more than anything spiritual as we visit Archaeological sites complemented with different landscapes. The second step of the way is RUNTURAQAY (3,990m.s.n.m) where we will have the possibility to see the two snow chains: One of the Urubamba and another of the Vilcabamba that are part of the Andes Mountain Range. Approximately 4 pm. We will arrive at the WIÑAYWAYNA camp.
DAY 7.- WIÑAYWAYNA – MACHUPIKCHU – CUSCO.
This day we will leave very early around 5am. To be in PUERTA DEL SOL and receive the welcome of MACHUPIKCHU to take many photos from this place where we will have the first impression of the city INKA, an hour later we will end our dream and enjoy one of the Wonders of the World, where his Guide will explain the goodness of this place, visiting the most important places of this sacred precinct of our ancestors.
