This 10-day adventure trip to Iquitos Pacaya Samiria and Machu Picchu; this trip will take you deep within the Amazon Jungle and majestic towns of Lima to ancient Incan sites of Cusco, Sacred Valley, and the lost city of Machu Picchu. You can enjoy breathtaking natural sceneries and enjoy amazing wildlife at the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Also known as, Mirrored Forest, the Pacaya Samiria Reserve hosts a wide variety of mammals, birds, and plants that make their home in the five million acres of the Peruvian land.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 – International Arrival Assistance
Arrive in Lima at any time. Our representative will be waiting for you at Lima airport with a customized sign with your name on it and private transfer to your hotel.
There are no planned activities, so check into the hotel and rest up – Overnight at the Hotel in Lima

Day 2 – Gastronomic Tour & Lima City Tour
Breakfast at Hotel; pick-up from your hotel at 10:30AM you will learn about the history of Peruvian culinary, and tour will start from a traditional Peruvian market. You will get to taste a wide array of Peruvian delicacies which also include exotic fruits like lucuma, aguaymanto and pacae. You will also visit the exclusive restaurant La Rosa Nautica, where you will learn to prepare the famous Pisco Sour, by and expert barman, and the delicious Ceviche prepared by the chef of the restaurant. Then you will taste a delicious lunch featuring the most representative dishes of the Peruvian cuisine. After lunch we continue with our Lima City Tour, we will first show you a panoramic view of “La Huaca Pucllana”. This breathtaking piece of architecture was built back in the 4th century AD and holds religious significance for the Incas. Then you will visit the impressive Historical Downtown of Lima, also known as “the City of the Kings”, which is the cradle of its Colonial past. Stops include the Main Square of Lima, upon which sits the Government Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace. Afterwards, you will visit San Francisco Covent; the high-point of this tour will be the visit to Catacumbas, ending with a visit to the residential and financial district of San Isidro and an unforgettable view of the Pacific Ocean from the district of Miraflores. Day 3 – Flight to Iquitos – Samiria Lodge
Breakfast at hotel; pick up from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Iquitos. We will be sitting tight for you at the air terminal to go straightforwardly to Nauta city (around 1 hour and 30 minutes). When we touched base to Nauta city, we will go in our stream dinghies to the ecolodge. In the ecolodge, our staff will be prepared to make you feel extremely great and will welcome you a tasty provincial common organic product juice while we continue with registration and exchange your assets to your room. Toward the evening, we will have a natural stroll to see and find out about the organic product trees and therapeutic plants and know somewhat more about their medical advantages and their adjustment to the earth. Day 4 – Kapok Sunrise – Visit Local Community – Pacaya Samiaria National Reserve
We will start the day very early in the morning (5:45AM) to have the chance to satisfy the action of birdwatching and appreciate the Kapok dawn. We will eat in the Amazon wilderness so we will have the capacity to associate ourselves with nature through our faculties. After that, we will visit a nearby group that will show us more about their way of life, traditions and their specialty of painstaking work (you can purchase some craftsmanship creates in the event that you wish). After lunch, we will go angling (artisan angling) on board our boats in Shiriyacu (new water or solidifying water). Day 5 – Swimming with Dolphins – Pacaya Samiria National Reserve
In the morning, we will take a waterway adventure to see the dark and pink dolphins (on the off chance that you wish, you can swim with them on the stream). After lunch we will visit the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Nauta Caño zone, known for its rich verdure, fauna and untamed life. We will climb to take in more about trees, plants, blooms and bugs and will complete with the movement of artisanal angling (for the most part piranhas) and different species. We will gain from our naturalist guides about their encounters, otherworldly stories, myths and legends of the Peruvian wilderness. Overnight at Samiria Lodge

Day 6 – River Excursions in Quebrada Sapira and return to Iquitos – Flight to Lima
Amid your last day in Samiria Ecolodge, you will appreciate a flavorful breakfast and after that we will be prepared to cruise on one of the Marañon stream tributaries. We will come back to the ecolodge for a goodbye lunch. Our staff will let you know that they are so upbeat to have imparted some extraordinary minutes to you amid your time with us on your first Amazon experience. We will take you back to the air terminal at Iquitos city.
After Lunch, transfer to Iquitos City and according with your flight schedule, transfer to the airport. Upon arrival to Lima; reception and transfer to your Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel in Lima

Day 7 – Flight to Cusco and City Tour & Archeological ruins
Breakfast at hotel; pick up from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco, the ancient Inca capital of the Incas. On arrival in Cusco, assistance at the airport and transport to your hotel, where the rest of the morning is free time to rest in hotel in order to avoid altitude sickness.
Pick up from the hotel at 1:20PM the tour will start from Cusco’s Main Square. On entering Cusco’s cathedral, you will be able to see the intricate woodwork and the colonial paintings that contain detailed Incan iconography. After that you will head to the Temple of the Sun or Qorikancha upon which the Convent of Santo Domingo has been built. According to a legend, this temple was entirely gold plated and many conquerors were impressed by its magnificence when they came here. The tour continues with visits to 4 archeological sites, starting with the Sacsayhuaman archeological complex, a masterpiece of Incan architecture in which you will see mindboggling huge stone blocks, almost 9 meters in height, placed perfectly. Next is the Qenqo temple, dedicated to animal worship. Then, Puca Pucara, another Incan archeological site located on top of a hill and used as a fort and administrative center. Last, there is Tambomachay, a place also known as the Inca Baths. Overnight at the Hotel in Cusco

Day 8 – Full day to Sacred Valley (Pisac, Ollantaytambo)
Breakfast at hotel; you will be picked up from your hotel at 7:45AM. Travel back in time to the Sacred Valley of the Incas with a day that begins in Pisac, 31 km from Cusco. The old city, an Incan archeological site, is located at the top of a mountain, and there you will witness firsthand the stonemasonry skill of our ancient ancestors. Afterwards, you will descend to the town and walk through its colorful market; where you can buy beautifully crafted locally hand-made products. Afterwards, lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
Following, you set off for Ollantaytambo, an Incan military, religious, and agricultural center located at the top of a mountain. But unlike other small towns, this one has maintained its original Incan design, featuring stone buildings and narrow streets. It was a fortress and an administrative and urban center.
Stop in Ollantaytambo from where we catch the train to Aguas Calientes, upon arrival to Aguas Calientes, reception and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the Hotel in Aguas Calientes

Day 9 – Sunrise in Machu Picchu & Train back to Cusco
Breakfast at the hotel; at 5:00AM take first bus to Machu Picchu citadel, you will ride a bus to Machu Picchu archeological site and tour every nook and cranny of this New 7 Wonder of the World and UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site: an unforgettable experience. Your guide will expertly direct you throughout the astounding ruins and its main streets. You can then wander around the town squares as well as climb the intricately carved stairways made of stone. Machu Picchu is considered as the world’s spiritual center by esoteric wisdom. Once the guided tour is over, you will have some free time to explore the site on your own, to relax, or to meditate.
You will then have time to indulge in a few of the following activities on your own (not included in the price)
– Climb up Huayna Picchu and appreciate the beauty and magnificence of Machu Picchu from there.
– You will be given some time to walk till the Sun Gate or Inti Punku.
– Other optional activities in Aguas Calientes include a visit to the new local museum or to the hot springs.
Train to Cusco: You will descend to Aguas Calientes and, later on, board the train for the return trip to Cusco. On reaching Cusco train station, reception and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the Hotel in Cusco

Day 10 – Departure from Cusco – International Departure
Breakfast at hotel; there are no activities scheduled on the final day of this trip and you are free to leave at any time.
At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lima for International connection.
Most groups will take the flight from Cusco to Lima connecting from there to international flights.
